Billy’s Big Ideas to Beat Loneliness

Hey, guess what! I’m Billy, and I’m 8 years old, and I’ve got a super-duper important thing to tell you! My dad is having a big, giant problem right now. He’s super lonely, like a little puppy with no one to play fetch with.
I see him sitting on the couch all quiet, just staring at his phone, waiting for someone to call. It makes my heart feel all squishy and sad! Have you ever felt like that? It’s the worst!
But wait, I’ve got awesome ideas to fix it! First, I’m gonna be his best buddy ever! I’ll drag him to the park and make him play tag with me until he laughs so hard he snorts like a piggy.
Then, I’ll help him find new friends! We can bake cookies—chocolate chip, yum!—and invite the neighbors over. They’ll come for sure, ‘cause who says no to cookies?
And hey, I’ll even draw funny pictures of Dad with a superhero cape to show everyone how cool he is! Won’t that be hilarious?
Plus, kids’ perspectives can really help us understand how to tackle loneliness better. I just know Dad won’t feel like a lonely puppy anymore. He’ll be smiling bigger than a clown at the circus! What do you think, wanna help me cheer him up? Let’s do this!
